Basavakalyana Fort also known as Kalyan Fort is in Bidar district of Karnataka. The fort was built in the 10th century when the Chalukyas shifted their capital from Manyakheta to Kalyan. The fort is camouflaged in a brilliant manner and has 3 concentric walls.
It has a main door known as Akhand Darwaza’ built with four red stone slabs. It is one of the fort, still retains its grandeur after 1000 years, if one is around this place and interested in old architecture, can visit the fort. The fort has a small museum as well
