Bidar Fort is one of the large fort in Karnataka. It is near Gulbarga and Bidar town. The fort in its current form was built on a plateau by Bahmani kings in the start of 15th century AD. The fort complex houses many monuments like Rangin Mahal- a palace with beautiful tiles, Takt Mahal and a Jamma Masjid.

The fort is roughly 1.2 kilometers long with a width of around 0.8 kilometers. Inside the fort, there are numerous buildings, arches, pavilions, mosques, gateways and gardens. The fort was protected by unique triple-channeled moat, but much of them is now in ruins. There are seven gates to the fort.
