India has over 30 caves across India. From unexplored caves in Meghalaya to world famous Buddhist caves in Ajanta, where there are brilliant paintings of 7th century. There are also stalactite caves which runs to over 3.5 kms deep underground. Of this visitors are allowed till 1.5 kilometers to explore it. To add to the thrill, one can find a water fall in underground. For the archaeologist, there are caves with epigraphs of neolithic age.
