Attiveri Bird Sanctuary is located in Attiveri Water reservoir which is 40 kilometers from Hubli city. The bird reserve spreads across 2.23 sq.kilometers . The wetlands and deciduous forest around the place attracts a lot of migratory birds as well as resident birds.
Some of its special attractions are Eurasion Spoonbill, White throated king fisher, Grey Hornbill, Cattle egrets and many more.
As per records, around 79 bird specie arrive every year from 22 countries. The peak migratory season is from November to February.
