Gol Gumbaz is in the centre of Bijapur town in Karanataka. It was built by Adil Shah during 1656 AD. It is well maintained now by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The Indo-Islamic structure biggest attraction of the place is the large dome (37.92 meter) on top and the whisper gallery.

The inner balcony of the monument is known as whispering gallery, as any whispers can also be heard across the large gallery. We cannot test it when there is huge crowd. We can only hear the crowd catcalls and echo. Adil Shah and his family members are interred here in vaults here. There is also a museum inside the complex.
