Gajendrgad Fort is in a rural town Gajendragad on Kushtagi to Dharwad road in Karnataka. It is well built fort with a majestic entrance. Much of the fort is in ruins. One can spot a water tank, inscriptions, a small mosque and Kalakeshwara temple on the fort. The fort gets its name due to the shape of elephant face, when looked from above.
