Bellary Fort is near the town of Bellary in Karnataka. The fort is made up of two parts – The upper fort and it was built by Hanumappa Nayaka -during Vijayanagar Empire. The lower fort was built by Hyder Ali during 18th century.

Some parts were also added by French engineers to the upper fort too in 18th century. It is a good place to trek (around 700 steps) and to enjoy the view from the top. The fort has security guards which make sure no one litters or misbehaves on the fort and also that people stick to the time.
