Bhalki Fort is a large fort spread across 5 acres of land near Bhalki town near Bidar and Gulbarga in Karnataka. The fort is now in ruins and lacks maintenance. However, one can see the gigantic fortifications, a temple and stepped well inside the fort. It is believed to be built during the early part of 19th century by Ramachandra Jadhav and Dhanaji Jadhav. Some part of the fort is still intact and is used as a primary school. If one is interested in adventuring old forts, this could be the one you can plan a visit for a weekend.
