Vazhachal Falls is near the famous Athirapally falls 4 kilometers up on the road towards East on Valaparai enroute to Tamil Nadu. It gets its name due to the slippery rocks and waters seams to slide across the slope. You can get tickets for both Athirapally falls and Vazhachal falls together. Enroute you can also see Charpa Waterfalls on the roadside. So do not miss it. The place is well maintained and one can sit and watch the river flow boisterously. Beware of monkeys. It is somewhat quieter than Athirapally. If you do not plan to enter water for bathing, Vazhachal falls is a good place to spend time.
