Parambikulam Tiger Reserve is a eco sensitve tourist spot in Western Ghats near Palakkad and Coimbatore in Kerala. The entry into the forest is via Tamil Nadu from Pollachi. The tour programme is well organized. One can choose a day trip, where you can just take a forest department vehicle into the reserve /or opt for elephant safari and visit oldest tree and may spot some wild life on the way. Those who opt for staying inside the reserve, will have a compulsory forest guide, who will travel with you and take you to all interesting spots. You will do a 5-8 kilometer inside the forest, a bamboo raft ride in the forest lake – chance of spotting wildlife, tribal dance etc.,
The bookings need to be done in advance, as they have limited accommodation inside the forest. If you are a group of 5, then you can also opt for an lake island inside the forest, where you will reach your accommodation by boat. Overall, it will be memorable experience.
