Mormugão fort (also known as Margao is near airport in Goa.

It is set in a scenic spot of Arabian sea and the Zuari river. This fort was built on the order of the Viceroy of the Portuguese State of India, Dom Francisco da Gama, Fourth Count of Vidigueira, during his second government, for the defense of South Goa.

Now, the old fort is in ruins and free to explore the crumbling bastions.

One can view loading of ships and movement of big ships from the fort above. One has to reach Mormugao Port administrative office to reach the fort.
