Bhadra Fort is situated inside Ahmedabad city in Gujarat. It was built by Ahmad Shah I in 1411.

The fort has been renovated well in 2014 by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) as a cultural centre for the city.

This fort was conquered by British and used as prison in 1817.

Now the fort complex, houses the government offices, an ASI office, a post office and the city’s civil courts. It is also used for flag hoisting on Independence Day and Republic Day.
