Tiruchirappalli District Museum is located in Rani Mangamamal Mahal near Rockfort temple of Trichy. The Rani Mangammal Mahal was built during middle of 17th century by Chokkanatha Nayakar.

The museum has an impressive display of taxidermy of snakes, paintings, epigraphs and history. It has over 2000 collection of objects which include some ancient coins, rate documents, some temple models and philatelic materials as well.
