Allahabad Museum is in Chandrashekar Azad Park in Civil Line in Allahabad.
This national-level museum is like a treasure trove of Indian history, culture, heritage, and the independence movement.
You’ll be able to witness rock sculptures, miniature paintings from Rajasthan, terracotta from Kaushambi, and literary and artworks from the Bengal School of Art.
The museum takes you on a journey through time, starting with the historic era of the Harappan civilization and ending with the Independence struggle against the British.
Recently, they even added a new rock gallery with pre-historic rock arts.
They have a gallery for the collection of Bengal School of Art and Modern Painting of Anagarika Govind, Nicholas, and Svetoslav Roerich.
The museum is divided into sixteen galleries, each one displaying a different sect of historic and art collections.
But the real fun starts when you enter the galleries displaying the rich collection of history ranging from Harappan civilization to the Gupta dynasty.
And don’t miss the arms and armours gallery where you’ll find ancient weapons like bronze swords, body armours, and pistols.
