St. Angelo Fort is in Ayykara near Kannur town in Kerala. The fort is also popularly known as Kannur Fort. It is near another tourist spot Arrakkal Museum. The fort is on the coast facing beautiful Arabian Sea. It has a fort walkway facing sea makes the fort visit a enjoyable one. It is a protected monument by Archaeological Survey of India(ASI).

The fort was built by the Portuguese during early 16th century. After 50 year, the Dutch has captured the fort, and they made some additions. An interesting trivia, the picture of this fort painting with the Arabian Sea drop is still can found in Rijks Museum of Amsterdam.
