Malayatoor is near Anganmaly in Ernakulam district of Kerala. It is meeting place of river, mountain and town and hence gets the name Malayattoor. It has an altitude of over 600 meters and has a cool climate for most part of the year.
The place is surrounded by orchards, spice plantations, rubber plantations etc.,
If you are visiting this place during monsoon season – June-October, do visit waterfalls around this area Kuttipara, Panamkuzhi Kadavu, Edamalayar Aqueduct etc.,
The river Periyar flows nearby this town, and one can have a bath in the river at bathing point.
