Sri-Sonnvannam-Seitha-Perumal-Temple is a Lord Vishnu temple in Kanchipuram. It is one of the 108 Divya Desam- Bhuloka Vaikuntam. The temple is also known as Yathothkari Perumal Temple or Thiruvekka Temple.
The temple is a huge one covering over 4 acres. It is one of the oldest temple. Though it is renovated recently and looks divine.
According to legends, the temple was worshipped by 4 Alwars -Thirumangai Alwar, Poigai Alwar, Peyazhwar and Thirumazhisai Alwar. There is also a story which is famous here, as Perumal also got along with Thirumazhisai Alwar and when he moved to Orikkai and got back when he returned back. Hence the posture of reclining Vishnu is a different one here.

108 Divya Desam
This temple is one of the important Divya Desam in this earth known as Bhuloka Vaikuntam- abode of Vishnu on earth. Various Alwars have composed poems on Lord Vishnu – 6500 years back according to legends. Their composition of poems on Lord Vishnu temples all over India is known as Divya Prabandham which was compiled in 9th century.
