Sri Mathura Temple is a Lord Krishna temple in Mathura near Agra in Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the divya desam and considered as Bhooloka Vaikuntam – meaning abode of Vishnu on earth.
The Lord Krishna here was worshipped by Periyalwar, Andal, Thondaradi Podiyalwar, Nammalwar and Thirumangai Alwar.
The temple is a old one and is considered to be built around 6th century AD. The temple is one of the most visited temple of India. There is also a museum near the temple complex.

This temple is one of the important Divya Desam in this earth known as Bhuloka Vaikuntam- abode of Vishnu on earth. Various Alwars have composed poems on Lord Vishnu – 6500 years back according to legends. Their composition of poems on Lord Vishnu temples all over India is known as Divya Prabandham which was compiled in 9th century.
