Rohtak Zoo also known as The Tilyar Mini Zoo is located inside the Tilyar Lake complex on Delhi Road in Rohtak, Haryana.
Established in 1987, this well-maintained zoo has undergone major upgrades in recent years, thanks to the Government of Haryana’s decision to shut down mini zoos across the state and replace them with well-developed, viable zoos.
Located just 42 km from the Delhi border, reaching the Tilyar Zoo is a breeze. You can catch a bus, hire a private taxi, or hop on an auto-rickshaw to get there. And once you arrive, you’ll be transported to a world of wonder, where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and learn about the fascinating creatures that call this place home.
Admission to the Tilyar Zoo is just INR 10 for adults and INR 5 for children. And if you’re in the mood for some fishing, you can cast a line in Tilyar Lake for an additional fee of INR 200.
The zoo is open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the summer and from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the winter, giving you plenty of time to explore.
The Tilyar Zoo is a feast for the senses, with its stunning landscapes, walkways, gardens, artificial waterfalls, lakes, cafes, toilets, watchtowers, drinking water facilities, and resting shelters. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a magical world where the creatures of the wild roam free.
