Pallava Caves is near Rockfort temple in Trichy town in Tamil Nadu. Many tourist hardly know this place, as it is hidden among residential lane. Once you are climbing to rock fort temple, there is a recess and you will find a road cutting horizontally your steps. The Pallava caves is on the left side.
It is almost similar to caves in Badami which is nearly 1000 kilometers away built by Chalukyas. The similarity is striking and one wonders which is the original. When you are in Rock fort temple, do no miss this place.
