Sri Viruthapuriswarar Temple is a Lord Shiva temple in Thirupunavasal in Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu.
It is one of the padal petra sthalam and Lord Shiva here was worshipped by Thirugnasambandar and Sundarar. The temple spread across 3 acres of land and large gopuram of 65 feet. The temple is believed to be built around Pandya era. The Shiva lingam is huge here. The temple is believed to be pariahara sthalam for Angaraka.
