The National Science Centre established in 1992, is a science museum in Delhi, India.
It is near Gate no 1, of Pragati Maidan overlooking the Purana Qila.
With five floors of science exhibits on display, you’re gonna need a solid 4-5 hours to cover it all. And trust me, it’s worth it!
Each floor covers different themes and there’s a plethora of shows to watch. Just a heads up, some of them may not be working but hey, that just gives you more time to explore the other exhibits.
Once you get your tickets (which cost Rs 70 per person, but you can get a discount if you’re part of a group), you’re ready to embark on your journey of science discovery.
Starting on the first floor, you’ll get a glimpse of the history of science and technology in India. From astronomy to metallurgy, medicine to weaponry, you’ll learn about all the different aspects of science in life . And that’s just the first floor!
As you move on to the other floors, you’ll learn about evolution, the human body, genetics, medicine, and even have some fun with science through interactive games and experiences.
But be warned, if you really want to understand and take in all the exhibits, you’ll need to set aside 3-4 hours. But if you’re in a rush, you can zip through in about an hour and a half. And don’t forget about the additional shows which are both time-consuming and money-consuming. But hey, it’s all worth it for some science !
