India is home to the two largest mangroves in the world. The Sunderbans in West Bengal and Pichavaram in Tamil Nadu mangrove ecosystem spreads across over 3000 acres of land and sea. These are rare kind of ecosystem, where plants grow in the inter-tidal zone. These are hot bio diversity spots too.
