Sundarbans National Park is a tiger reserve and biosphere reserve in West Bengal.
It is one of the largest reserves of mangroves -a UNSESCO heritage site in the world and home to a variety of bird, reptile and invertebrate species, including the salt-water crocodile.
There are private tour operators with house boats with all required permissions for the avid tourist to take deep in Sunderbans.
Staying for a night will provide a chance for spotting the elusive tiger. It is an unique phenomenon.
It is recommended to visit during November to February when tides are low at 2.00 PM.
