Dhanushkodi Beach is the southern most tip of Rameshwaram island. It is a deserted town, once a flourishing village destroyed by cyclone. Now, there are attempts to rebuild the village.
If you ever want to see flat horizon of sea and land, this is the place. Once you enter sea water, you find it is shallow and you can walk few meters.
Then, you turn around to enjoy a 360 degree of waters and the southern most part of the island.
