Kanjirankulam Bird Sanctuary is one of the bird sanctuary located in southern Tamil Nadu. It is near Pulvoikuam in Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu.
The biggest attraction here is the painted stork. Herons do stay here to lay eggs on babul tree which are abundant here.
The sanctuary is on a laid back village near Muthukulathur. One can reach it from Paramakudi to Sayalkudi town road. There is also Chitrangudi bird sanctuary few kilometers from here .
The sanctuary is spread across over 1 square kilometer though much is covered by shrubs.
During migratory season, over 170 types of birds can be seen.
