Belum Caves is a popular caves near Anantapur/Cuddapah in Andhra Pradesh.
The cave are believe to be formed by the disappeared river Chitravathi millions of years ago.
It is a brilliant cave, giving you the vibes of explorer in you.
The deepest point of the cave is around 150 feet from entrance. The point is known as Pataalaganga.

4,500 BC remnants of vessels of that age were found in the caves.
It was once occupied by Jain and Buddhist monks, over two thousands years ago
It was in 2002, the cave opened to the public.
The exploration still continues and in the year – a new cavernicolous (inhabiting caves) Isopod species discovered, named Andhracoides gebaueri.
