Arakkal Museum is in Ayyakara in Kannur town of Kerala. It is owned by Arakkal Royal Trust, however, a portion of the same – the durbal hall is under the Archaeological Survey of India(ASI) which has converted into a museum. One can view exhibits artefacts and heirlooms of the royal family like family seal, the pathayam (the wooden box in which grain was stored), document box. It also has telescope, an old-fashioned telephone, swords and daggers used by the rulers.
