Sukapha Samannay Kshetra is located near Dergaon and Jorhat in Assam, this place was built in memory of Sukapha, the first Ahom king of Assam. It’s like a time machine that will transport you back in time to the glorious 600 years of the Ahom rule in the state.
They are currently excavating the area hoping to find some remnants of the Ahom Kingdom. Who knows, you might even stumble upon a lost treasure!
The museum is a must-see, with tons of information displayed in English so that foreign visitors can also enjoy the experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, so don’t hesitate to ask them anything.
The best part? The entry ticket is only 10 rupees! That’s like finding money in your pocket that you didn’t even know you had.
Although, I must warn you, apart from taking a stroll in the garden and taking a picture with the big statue, there’s not much else to do. But for all you history lovers out there, this is a must-visit place.
So, pack your bags, grab your friends and family, and head over to Sukapha Samannay Kshetra.
