Shivappa Nayaka Palace is a beautiful wooden palace located on the banks of the Tunga river in Shimoga. This palace was built during the glory days of Keladi Nayakas. The palace is built almost entirely of rosewood. Intricately carved wooden pillars and motifs on the walls take the pride of place inside the palace. Now, the palace houses a rich museum with sculptures and antiquities from the Keladi period along with the Chalukya and Hoysala eras.Darbar Hall: Will massive wooden pillars, the main hall of the palace used for meetings and gatherings. Only Darbar hall building is intact now, out of a much larger palace complex.

Some of the special attractions of the palace are Darbar Hills, Mini Balcony, Garden and the museum.
