Royal Botanical Garden is a famous garden in Kolkatta.

It has rich display of rare plants and a total collection of over 12,000 specimens spread over 109 hectares. It is under Botanical Survey of India (BSI) of Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.

It is a good place for hangout for nature lovers.

There is a big banyan tree several hundred years old.

During winter season, one can see blooming plants. One can also take food inside (without any disposable plastics) and have a nice picnic here.
