Raichur Fort is in middle of Raichur town in Karnataka. It was an important place for over 1000 years. The fort was initially built by Chalukyas and Rashtrakutas.
Later additions were made by Krishna Deva Raya. The fort has some beautiful structures, Ek Minar ki Masjid the red granite cannon are some attractions.
Though much of it is in ruins, the grandeur of the fort is still intact.

For the historians, the fort has many inscriptions in many languages carved over several centuries back.
