Pakke Tiger Reserve is in Pakke Kessang of Arunachal Pradesh.
It covers 862 km2 (333 sq mi) reserve and well protected and also won a India Biodiversity Award in 2016.
On can stay at the west bank forest rest house which was basic and wonderful. Here, one can get a jeep /car and guide for us to go into the forest.
Some of the forest houses have gorgeous views.
Pakke is tucked away… not many people visiting but many many birds and animals to leave you awestruck. Hornbills, elephants, migratory birds, and of course the tiger. This place is a little off the grid but all the better, ’cause there are not many people and you get all the attention and resources. One can get help from the forest guard and the government officials of the forest department who can guide you everywhere.
So pack your bags, grab your binoculars and head on down to Pakke Tiger Reserve. It’s a must-see for all wildlife and peace lovers. Trust me, you won’t regret it.”
