Nellitheertha is a cave temple near Mangalore in Karnataka. There is a cave which is 200 meters long and one has to crawl down to access it. Inside the cave, there is a large pool of water collected by water drops from cave top. The cave is open only from October to March. The cave houses snakes of all varieties, scorpions, porcupines and huge number of bats. Troubling or hurting the animals inside the cave is strictly prohibited.
