This temple is not for the faint of heart, as you’ll need to climb approximately 300-400 steps to reach the cave where the small Shiva Temple resides. But don’t worry, there are refreshment stalls along the way to keep you energized and hydrated.

Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Mhareshwar Waterfalls from a small viewing platform. And if you’re lucky enough to visit during monsoon season, the waterfall will be at its absolute best, making for a truly magical experience.

The temple is said to have been founded by Lord Parshuram, and every year thousands of devotees visit to perform ablutions in the nearby Bav River.

And if you’re visiting the temple, be sure to stop at Sakharpa and grab a snack at Sanket restaurant. The food is amazing, and the fact that it’s run by ladies makes it even more special.
