Madikeri Fort is a 17 century fort in the hill station of Coorg in Karnataka. It was built by Mudduraja and later modified by Tippu Sultan. Later, in the end of 19th century, British too made some changes to the fort.
Now, the fort stands as a great structure and houses government offices as well as an archaeology museum.
The major attraction here is the two life size elephant structures. The fort is near the Madikeri bus stand and one can take a stroll to have a look.
