Kailasanathar Temple in Uthiramerur follows a similar architecture of the one in Kanchipuram Town. It is built around 8th century of Pallava Kingdom.  The temple was recently renovated preserving its ancient heritage.

Now, the temple premises are clean. The temple portrays glimpses of different era of Vijayanagara Kingdom, Pallava grandeur of Pagoda temples of Mahabalipuram as well as contribution from later Cholas. Overall, an ancient temple with all its glory can be observed when you take a quiet walk around it.

If you are keen, you can also visit an another old temple Shri Vaikunthanatha temple which is also nearby a couple of streets away.

The temples are near the heart of the town Uthiramerur. It is a bustling town.
