Jamalabad Fort is a brilliant trekking spot near Belthangady in the thick tourist circuit of Dhamashala-Subramanya-Udupi in Karnataka. If you are keen to take a break and like to explore the surroundings of the greener western ghats, this is the place.From the top of the fort, one can enjoy the view. The entry into the fort is permitted only from October to May. During monsoons, the path will be slippery making it dangerous to climb and hence restricted. The fort is also known as Narasimha Angadi and was built on the ruins of a older fort of Hoysalas.
