Chikmagalur, Karnataka

Chikmagalur, known officially as Chikkamagaluru is a popular hill station in Karnataka. It is on located on the foothills of the Mullayanagiri peak of the Western Ghats and has pleasant climate through out the year. The rainforest and coffee estates are the major attractions here.

For the adventurists, there are large caves and cascading Hebbe Falls lie amidst the coffee plantations. The forested Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, northwest of Chikmagalur, is home to elephants, tigers and leopards.

Further Chickmagalur is just few hours away from Bangalore or Mangalore.
