The Bishop Falls is a three-tiered beauty standing at 135 metres (443 ft) tall, and is often referred to as the “good-looking twin” of the Beadon Falls. Meanwhile, the Beadon Falls is the “rebel twin” of the pair with its disjointed flow and rocky terrain.
But don’t let that fool you, these falls are still stunningly beautiful. The cascading water looks like a white ribbon flowing down the hill, and the emerald green hills and lush vegetation make for a jaw-dropping view. But be warned, the Beadon Falls is known to be a bit of a wild child during the rainy season, so it’s best to visit during the dry months.
The best part? These falls are located just off the NH-40 at Mawprem, and a narrow road at Mawlai takes you to a viewpoint where you can see both falls together. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can even walk from the city center to the falls. Just be prepared for a bit of a slippery and treacherous hike. Avoid morning visits though, it could be a bit foggy to have a clear view in colder months.
