Baruva Beach is one of the oldest seaport used until 1948. It had a lighthouse as well, which now lies still. It is a scenic beach with Haritha Beach resort nearby on the shores.

As a throwback from history, there is a commemorative pillar placed in remembrance of a cargo ship that sank nearby in 1917.

It is a quiet beach with less crowd and one can observe lot of crabs and mini turtles here.
