Yanam is a quiet beach located near East Godavari of Andhra Pradesh. It was once a French territory and now forms the union territory of Pondicherry. Some of old houses in the region still carries French architecture.
The beach is on the mouth of rivers Coringa and Godavari meets bay of Bengal.
It is a beach for person who seeks solitude, then for merry making. There are no facilities for tourists. If one is interested, they can explore the mangroves formed by the rivers Godavari and sea water.
