Ayyanar Falls is deep inside the Srivilliputhur Squirrel Sanctuary. One has to trek 3 kilometers inside the forest to view the falls. It is advised to take guide from forest department as there are chance of encountering wild elephants. There is also a small waterfall near Ayynar temple at the start of the trek, where you can enjoy the water stream, if you afraid to venture deep. There are also couple of other unnamed and unexplored waterfalls in the area like Rakkachi Amman Kovil water falls in the area.
