Vintage Car Museum is located in Kathwad’s Dastan in Ahmedabad.

This museum is like no other, showcasing over 120 vintage cars, including old utility vehicles, motor vehicles, and ancient carriages. That’s right, you can take a stroll through history and see how people used to get around in style!

What makes this museum so special? Well, for starters, it’s organized and maintained by the Vintage and Classic Car Club of India. But it’s the collection that really makes this place stand out. We’re talking about some of the most prominent cars from the 1900s to the 1970s, all belonging to kings, maharajas, and even notable colonizers of the country.

And let’s not forget about the signature exhibits, like the 1949 Rolls Royce, 1906 Minerva, 1927 Phantom I, and the 1923 Silver Ghost. Oh, and did we mention the iconic French Hotchkiss cars? The oldest antique here is the 1903-model of Fiat, so you know you’re in for a real treat!

The museum was started by a man named Shri Pranlal Bhogilal Patel, who turned his private collection into a renowned museum. Patel was a vintage car aficionado, and his collection even earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records! But what’s even more impressive is that he named each of his cars, like his 1926 Rolls-Royce Phantom I named Azad, which had a Barker body painted in tricolor. Talk about having a personal touch!

But there’s more to this museum than just cars. They’ve got a restaurant serving up some of the best Rajasthani and Gujarathi delicacies, a children’s play park with a toy train, and even live cultural dances organized on a regular basis. Plus, the museum’s green landscape has an artificial pond with a couple of cottages around, making it the perfect spot for a picnic!

And don’t forget to check out the nearby attractions, like the Dada Hari ni Vav, Kankaria Lake, Swaminarayan Temple, Camp Hanuman Temple, and the Calico Textile Museum. It’s the perfect way to spend a day in Ahmedabad, exploring the rich history and culture of the city.

So, what are you waiting for? Come and see the Auto World Vintage Car Museum for yourself and experience the beauty and charm of vintage cars firsthand. Who knows, you might even find your new favorite car!
