Venkatappa Art Gallery is just opposite to Government Museum of Bangalore in Karnataka. The place has a rich collection at this arts and has over 600 paintings. The gallery is spread across two floors, along with the Archaeological Museum provides insight into the past and the artists who belonged to the eras gone.
The gallery displays art-works belonging to 2000 BC till the medieval period.
The gallery has been dedicated to Venkatappa, a great painter who was born in the family of painters, on whom this gallery has been named. His works are put on display at the ground floor.
The gallery is open on all days of the week except Mondays, from 10 am to 5 pm.
