Looking for an adventure that will take your breath away? Look no further than Tadiandamol, the highest mountain peak in Coorg! At a whopping elevation of 1748m, this trek is not for the faint of heart, but the view from the top is totally worth it. And don’t worry if you’re new to the trekking scene, because Tadiandamol is the perfect option for beginners who love scenic surroundings.
You can even start your journey by car, so you don’t have to hike all the way from the village of Kakkabe. Who wants to waste all their energy on the road, am I right?
The trek starts at Nalakand Palace, which is only 3 kms away from Kakkabe. And let me tell you, the road to the palace is lined with greenery that will make your heart sing! Once you get to the Big Rock, you can set up camp and enjoy the river nearby. Just watch out for elephants, because they might want to crash your camping party.
As you continue up the trail, you’ll be surrounded by deep, dark, and dense forests. It can get pretty spooky up there, so make sure to bring a friend or two to keep you company. And don’t forget to bring enough water if you’re camping at the peak, because there’s none available up there.
But don’t worry, there are plenty of water sources along the way, especially during the monsoon season. And speaking of monsoon season, be prepared for some heavy monsoon, so please check weather reports before hitting the trail.
