Sri-Udayeeswarar-Temple is very unknown Lord Shiva temple in a Ilanagar village in Kanchipuram district. Many visit Sri Bramhapureeswarar temple but may not visit here.
However, the Lord Shiva here in lingam is made of clay and is said to be suvaymbu. Though, the lingam is made of clay, over the years of abhishekam, the lingam stands intact silently projecting the divinity of the sanctum.
According to legends, the temple Ambal is known as Sugaprasava Nayaki.
