Sidhnath Dari Waterfalls is in the Vindhya range of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh.
This breathtaking waterfall is nestled amidst the picturesque Vindhya range gets its name from the revered Siddhnath Baba who used to meditate here and is now a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike.
Take a trip back in time as you study the ancient rock paintings and carvings that have stood the test of time. Across the waterfall lies the Samadhi of Siddhnath Baba, a peaceful abode for the wandering spirit.
With a 100-ft plunge, Siddhnath ki Dari is one of the most scenic waterfalls in the region, and well worth the visit.
Access to the waterfall is easy, whether you’re driving from Varanasi (30 km) or Allahabad (120 km), or taking the train to Chunar Jn. or Mirzapur railway station. From Mirzapur, grab an auto or bus (33 km, ₹30/-) to Chunar, and then take another bus to the waterfall (20 km, ₹25/-).
Visiting during the monsoon season is a must, as the volume of water gushing down is at its peak, but be sure to keep a safe distance to avoid any mishaps. Be prepared for the crowds, as the falls are a popular weekend and holiday destination, but the ample paid parking near the waterfall should ease your worries.
For those seeking a little adventure, the area near the waterfall boasts small hiking trails and the rock where Siddhnath Baba meditated is now a small temple across the river that is accessible by rocky stairs.
