Ranjankudi Fort was once a majestic fort with palace, three levels of fortifications, moats and underground chambers. Now, most of them lie in ruins. It is maintained by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). One can reach the Ranjangudi Fort via NH4 – which connects Chennai to Trichy. It is just 1 kilometer diversion from main highway, anyone who is interested in history and forts can visit while they are on this highway.
