Pandavkada Falls is in the beautiful suburb of Kharghar in Navi Mumbai.

This magnificent waterfall stands tall at 107 meters high and is a sight to behold during the monsoon season. The waterfall is so massive that it pours huge amounts of water on the rocky surface below, creating a beautiful ‘plunge’ waterfall.

Legend has it that Pandavas, from the epic Mahabharata, stayed here during their exile and took a bath below the falls. There is even a big tunnel within Pandavkada from where they came, hence the name ‘Pandavkada Falls.’ Whether you believe in the myth or not, one thing is for sure – this waterfall is a paradise for photography enthusiasts and a great place to enjoy a picnic with friends and family.

But Pandavkada Falls is not just about the waterfall itself; it is surrounded by lush green hills that attract visitors in large numbers during the monsoon season.

You can trek, cycle, rappel or just sit amidst the low hanging clouds and enjoy the scenic beauty of this place. And the best part?

If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can trek up the mountain to see the streams that merge to create the waterfall. But be careful, as the water drops vertically and with immense force. The forest officials deem the waters to be unsafe, and there have been cases of drowning in the past, so it’s highly recommended that visitors do not enter the waters. Instead, you can sit on the rocks surrounding the pool underneath the falls and watch nature at its best.

And if that’s not enough, Pandavkada Falls also has a sister waterfall, Nangrya Waterfall, flowing some distance away. The mountains have cave-like natural formations that add a touch of excitement to the entire experience. You can also visit nearby tourist destinations like the famous Elephanta Caves, Karnala Bird Sanctuary, Kharghar Hills, and Karnala Fort.
